Speech Direct - Download the Log File

Should you ever experience a problem while using Speech Direct, T-Pro’s support team needs the Speech Direct log file for further investigation.


Local log file (Windows)

On your Windows computer go to the following location:

C:\Users\[username]\Speech Direct\Logs

=> The log files are sorted by date and time.

Identify the file(s) from the date when your problem started and send them on to T-Pro's support team for further investigation ([email protected]).

Internet browser log file

If you are experiencing a problem while working with Speech Direct on websites, you can retrieve a separate log file via the browser extension page.

Precondition: The browser extension for T-Pro Speech Direct has previously been added.

Note: Here we show images using the Google Chrome Internet browser. If you are working with Microsoft Edge, the steps described are the same.


1 - In your Chrome browser click on the three dots in the top right

2 - Click on Extensions

3 - Select Manage Extensions

=> All installed extensions are displayed.

4 - Go to the Speech Direct extension and click on Details

5 - On the next page select Extension options

=> You receive a button to download the log file.

The log file is a .txt file which you can download to a location of your choice.
Example:

This is the file you would need to send on to T-Pro's support team for further investigation to [email protected].
