The use of Speech Direct will be extended to browser-based systems as organisations increasingly move away from native applications.
Browser extension
You need to install the Speech Direct browser client. Go to the Chrome Web Store and add it to your browser. This only works for the Chrome Web browser.

Working in webforms
If you are using webforms you can navigate the page in two ways:
• conventionally using the keyboard or mouse
• using your voice
To navigate websites with your voice you need to set up commands to simulate your keyboard or mouse action.
Setting up navigation commands (COMMAND BUILDER)
Typical commands you would use in a webform are:
Next field
Previous field
Arrow down
Arrow up
Create each as a command; name them as in the example bullet list.

Name the command “Next field” (or what you naturally would say)
Select the command type Key
Place the cursor in the field and hit the respective key on your keyboard - here the tab key to jump to the next input field
Save the command. And repeat this process to set up further keyboard action commands.
In a webform it works like depicted below:

Activate the microphone of your Speech Direct app and navigate to the first field using your voice (or keyboard input).
Dictate the content.
To move to the next field say the command name you have given for this action (here: "next field").
=> The cursor will jump to the next field where you can continue your dictation.
NOTE: Pause briefly before and after saying a command so it is clearly recognised by the app.
